1

The guide

A website that helps visitors make the most of their time in your area. They can find local events, places to stay, eat and meet, discover businesses, and get practical information on how to get here and get around.

2

The map

Help people get to know your area before they arrive and find their way around when they do. The interactive 3D map brings together 360° panoramas, photographs, walking and cycling routes, public transport, driving directions, parking, EV charging points and public toilets.

3

The toolkit

Everything your team needs to keep things up to date, without having to jump between different systems. Add events, venues and businesses, manage your photos, and create newsletters and social media posts from one place.

Everything you need to promote your destination

Everything listed below is included in both plans.

✦

Events, all in one place

Bring together events from Eventbrite, local venues and your own team. New events are added automatically where possible, so your guide stays up to date without someone having to enter everything by hand.

◎

Explore places before you visit

Give visitors 360° tours of local attractions, hotels and venues, along with a 3D map to help them find their way around. They can have a look before they arrive and navigate with confidence when they get there.

▦

A directory of local businesses

Showcase local businesses by sector, with their locations on the map and links to their careers pages. It’s a useful way to help people discover local companies, find job opportunities and see what the area has to offer investors.

⌂

Help organisers find the right venue

Make it easy to find and compare conference and meeting venues. Visitors can check capacities, room layouts and facilities, download information sheets, create shortlists and find nearby hotels.

🚆

Make travelling by train an easier choice

Show visitors how long it takes to get here by train, car or plane. Include the carbon savings of travelling by rail, helping businesses and event organisers make more sustainable travel choices.

✉

Keep in touch with your audience

Build your mailing list with clear consent from subscribers, send newsletters that look good on phones and computers, and see how they perform. Everything you need to keep people informed and encourage them to come back.

♥

Give your social media a helping hand

Get ready-to-use social posts and short videos promoting local events, attractions and places to visit. Posts can include the relevant venues and businesses, making it easier to share their content and help them reach a wider audience.

⇄

Let other websites use your information

Make your events, venues and business listings available to booking platforms, partner websites and other services. Access keys let you control and monitor who uses the data, opening up opportunities to reach more people through other channels.

☰

Help visitors plan their day

Visitors can tell you how much time they have and what they’re interested in. The planner then puts together a suggested itinerary, including timings, places to eat and directions between stops.

✓

A guide that looks and feels like yours

Put your own name, logo, colours and domain across the entire platform, from the visitor guide and interactive map to your email communications. It all looks like part of your organisation, with no third-party branding getting in the way.

How it works

Choose how you want to run it

Go self-hosted and run it on your own server, or let us host and manage it for you. Choose the plan that suits your organisation.

Make it your own

Add your name, logo and colours, use your own domain, and choose the area your map covers.

Add your content

Bring in local events, add venues and businesses, and build up your collection of photos and 360° tours. The more you add, the more useful your guide becomes.

Go live

Once everything is ready, launch your guide and manage it all from the toolkit. You can keep events, listings, photos and communications up to date without juggling different systems.

Questions

Do we need technical expertise?

Not for the hosted plan. We look after the hosting and technical maintenance, and your team manages the content through the toolkit. With the self-hosted plan, you’ll need someone who can manage a web server.

How does the licence work?

The self-hosted version checks in with us periodically to confirm that its licence is valid. If there’s a problem with the licence, the toolkit will let you know so you can resolve it. Your website won’t simply be switched off without warning.

Who owns our content and data?

You do. Your events, venues, business listings, photographs and subscriber data remain yours, and you can export your data.

Can we cancel at any time?

The self-hosted plan is rolling monthly, so you can cancel at the end of a monthly billing period. The hosted plan has a minimum 12-month contract, after which it continues on a monthly basis.

Can we use our own photographs and 360° tours?

Absolutely. You can supply your own photography and panoramas, or ask us to create them for you. We offer ground and aerial photography, 360° panoramas and virtual walk-through tours.
